Initially employed to teach auditing papers only, then took on a full lecture load after six months covering the entire range of ACCA, CIMA and AAT Accounting papers with classes ranging from one student to 80.  Became freelance in September 1998.

Subject Manager for ACCA F 3 and F 8, involving preparation of notes, progress tests and mock exams. 

Also responsible for publication of some Financial Training textbooks and revision kits

In this small three partner practice, I worked with mainly sole trader accounts preparation and limited company audit, with an increased amount of client liaison, computerised accounts preparation and staff supervision.  Advised clients on adoption of new computerised accounting systems.

January 1990 – March 1996 Audit Junior/Senior

Heathcote & Coleman  -  Hagley Road, Birmingham

This was a six-partner practice with greater emphasis on large company auditing, including PLCs.  Began with sole traders and small business manual book-keeping and ended as Audit Senior concentrating on larger clients, principally ensuring compliance with regulations.
